"leaking" alloy wheels?

Do alloy wheels "leak" air?I've never had the "luxury" (?!) of having alloy wheels on a car beforeand have found that I have to keep topping up the air in all 4 tyresevery few days.At first I thought it was the airline at the local garage being out ofcalibration, but after using several different garages, I have the samesymptoms. It normally only drops 2-4 bar, but on one occassion it had dropped by10bar which made for an interesting drive! The weather has been very changeable of late here in the frozen North, but I wouldn't have expected such a dramatic drop in tyre pressure.
