Hi all,
Looking for a set of pads for this car but I'm not sure which ones to get as there are several 1.8 varients out there on the GSF website ... I put the reg into an insurance website and it came back as:
VOLKSWAGEN, GOLF GL,1781cc,5dr(1992-)
...still none the wiser as to which ones to get though :(
Will there be something on the V5 that'll help me identify the car accurately?

best place to look would be your brakes but alternatively...
The VRN or the reg No are both on there, but would probably only help at the main dealer. In recent years dealers have only required the Reg no to give me the right parts.
If you can, take a pad out, draw round it, and take the drawing with you when you go for the parts. If you don't want to take a pad out before doing the job, make as accurate a sketch as you can, and take that with you.
