New facelifted Ford focus 1.8 tdci 115hp, oil and reviews

Hi! I am an owner of new Ford focus and I have some questions:

- what engine oil do you use? My car was delivered with semi synthetic but I would rather switch to full synthetic because of turbo and hydraulic driven valves. Do you think that is necessary and what are your suggestions?

- in second gear I have a problem with vibrations within 1200-1800rpm. It feels like some unbalanced mass, not a hiccough of engine. My licensed car service told me this is not a problem. What do you think?

- what are your experiences with this engine?

Thanks and sorry if off topic...

use only the ford oil.

the rough running may need a ford dealer reprogram

oil type for the engine is in the handbook. most diesels will vibrate at some point. What is an unbalanced mass if it is not connected to the runnign engine? Use the oil recommended or your warranty will be invalid. If the car goes faulty simply take it back as all the work should be covered.

This very old design Endura DE has been re-hashed afew times, but given its underpinnings is naturally going to be alittle bit coarse now and then- it was created in 1984 for goodness sake!

Use the ford oil- which is ubiquitously Formula E / Formula S 5w-30 for all engines across the range. Change it twice as often as the book says, and you will be fine!

sorry,i was thinking about the feeling, not the state. it's like a part is not damped enough so it resonates. and it happens only in second gear within 1200-1800rpm. so i'm confused a little. gearbox or normal diesel behaviour?
