Ford Focus Technical Service Bulletins for oil burning smell

I have a 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 that has the infamous "burning oil smell".

I've looked into it a little and tracked down these three technical service bulletin summaries that address the problem.

Does anyone know where I can see the full text of the bulletins? And possibly more importantly, do they offer any real solutions to the problem other than "don't buy a Ford"?

Did you try visiting the dealer? NHTSA lists both true Ford TSBs and Ford Oasis messages (aka SSMs) in the TSB database. You can buy access to the Ford TSB for 3 days from

formatting link
(or
formatting link
) for a reasonable price (around $10). Theydon't make the Oasis messages available there. If you are just looking forguidance, why not register at
formatting link
and ask your question tothe Ford support forum. Many members of that group work as Ford mechanicsand do have access to Oasis messages. You could also buy copies of thedocument from NHTSA (never done it myself, but it is possible, but notcheap).
