New wiper problem

Its come to about 12 months since I last changed them, I usually opt for the bosch ones for my car (mk4 golf) but at about £20 I decided to try and save some money and bought 2 from wilkinson for £4! which seem good enough for the job, I have no use for spoilers etc.So on fitting them the clip try pushes on the U bend of the wiper arm is slightly lose it doesn't "click" like the bosch ones and kind of just sits in place, for example you could holp the wiper arm up and wiggle it gently and it will fall off.But once locked down on the screen they stay in place happily.They clear the screen well aswell.I'm just wonder if they are ok like this as I have some fear I'll lose them lol ... but obviously in the position they are they are not going to fly off as they are pressed firmly on the screen.Any advice, other than sticking to the bosch ones lol..I did contemplate removing the clip from the bosch ones but it looks riveted in and more agro than its worth.Thanks

On that advice... I quickly hurried to retrieve my thrown away bosh wipers lol ... I managed to wrangle the clip of both of them and switch them on to the wilkinson wipers, the fit perfectly and the wipers are now sitting firmly on.

To add these wipers clear the screen better than the bosch ones! .. how long they will last is unkown but even if I have to replace them again in 6 months its still works out cheaper than the bosch ones. I guess sometimes spending more isn;t always best.

I did not know I could get so excited about how clear it wipes my screen lol. Time for me to get a life lol.

I bought some replacement blades (inserts only) and they lasted about 4 or 5 months before they were not doing a good enough job. Replaced those with Bosch wipers (complete), and they lasted 3 months. Wont be using them again.

I've never tried inserts might be worth a go for me. For the price of Bosch you would expect more than 3 months. I usually get 12 months out of them but from 7 months onwards they aren't that great. I say give the wilkinson ones a go if you have a shop local to you but its my first go with them so I don't know how long they will go from posts and other forums people reckon about 6 months which is fair for the price.
