New wiper problem

the bosch clips are removable, but whther they will fit is another matter. normal price for ordinary bosch blades is about a 5er each, but some shops are spiteful.

Had the same problem with the clips on some cheap blades. Went to my local car acessory shop and they had a box full of many different types... charged me a quid for a large handful so I could try them out.

You're kidding, right? How often do you recommend changing the fuzzy dice?

I've had mine nearly 3 years, they still do the job, though I admit it can be a bit smeary at times when the roads have been salted.

Unless you get a jobsworth MOT tester who makes you change them, just leave them be.

I bet they don't. Six months is overkill - but annually is about right, imho. Even then, the difference between new and old is marked. After three years, they'll be abysmal - except, of course, you don't realise how bad they've got, because they've deteriorated gradually over time.

For a tenner a pair for Bosch from a very good local old-fashioned indie car spares shop, I'm buggered if I'm doing a 25 mile round trip to try to jump through hoops at my nearest pikeymarket.

Hence why it's worth changing them more often. They're hardly expensive.

Fuzzy dice dont scrape your windscreen permanently and cause it to fail your MOT. For the small price of the blades it's well worth it.

Good prices, but don't believe their car search thingy - it just brought up the wrong blades for my car!

Strange view of Lidl, As far as I can see they stock them periodically, couple of times a year maybe, and announce in their freebe literature when they will be available, usually there are a considerable variety of sizes which take about a week or two to sell out, I have never seen a specific queue for wiper blades or anything else for that matter, only a normal checkout queue as one would find in any supermarket.

I have equipped the Smart, both Saabs, The Landrover, Herself's Fiat and The grandkids Fiat, only one that stumped me is the rear window blade from the Smart because it's so short.

From our local good old inde car spares shop a pair of Bosch blades are not far short of twenty quid Halfords are even more, the fact you live so far from a Lidl is no reason to decry their products or surmise they will impose hoops for you to jump through which you imagine will find you inadequate, it's not their fault you are a snob lacking in self confidence.

So what, Lidl didn't have any at the time I was looking, bit of an oddball size? The fact that your obsolete vehicle takes a bigger size has no bearing on it (Cue for you to research just how many cars also have this size).

I wouldn't I'd buy them cheaper and better quality from Lidl.

No, if you don't want to shop there then you won't be collecting and reading their hand outs, no hoops there however if you are reading a newspaper and see one of their regular adverts then there is the major hoop of taking in what is advertised this is an optional hoop which you obviously avoid.

If you are not far from a lidl or an aldi, then it is well worth getting their flyer sent to you by email, they often have very useful bits, but if you don't get the flyer you will not know. Sometimes they have an incredibly cheap offer that they only have a few of, but that is rare. An amazing bargain a few weeks ago was a wheel mounted, long run, 3kva 4 stroke generator for just 150 quid with a three year guarantee, they had plenty in stock and they ran out after about two weeks, I imagine that in the sticks they would have gone in just a day or two.

That wouldn't apply as you won't jump through hoops to get them.
