A dealer is telling me to expect about 30mpg from a bog standard 98 Previa GS Auto petrol.
Is he being wildly optimistic? Any owners out there could tell me what the real figs are like? Tks

20 local use and 25 on a run is about right.
He could be delusional. Perhaps that's a bit harsh, but the book reckons on a combined figure of 25. A colleague who had one would squeeze 27 to 28 on a long run at a flattering speed (65 rather than *cough*). Around the city of Norwich, high teens dropping to mid teens (which he felt he had to since it was a bit underpowered compared to his other car).
You'll not be buying it for fuel efficiency but for the eight seats, yes?

Yes. We average about 18. And despite that we love the car, we've had it for 5 years and will keep it much longer still.
