My Ford Fiesta 57 remote key was stolen last weekend. I have the master (non-remote) key (with W1 on the blue inset). My local dealer has quoted £50 to cut a new remote key, but needs a day in the workshop to reprogram it. As a driving instructor I can do without losing a days revenue if possible.
Does anyone know the correct method of reprogramming the key?

Sadly...you can't programme additional keys yourself anymore- it is a dealer job. BUT it should only need 30mins not a full day!!!

Is this the case even if you still have 2 valid keys? I realise the OP probably doesn't but certainly on PATS2 you could use any two valid keys to invalidate all the others and/or to register new ones.
That's why I have two keys for mine in regular use (me and other half) and we keep a spare one in the files so that should either of us loose one we can disable it and register a new one.
