Resticking centre mirror? HELP...

OK guys - just been a ham-fisted n0b and knocked the centre mirror off the windscreen whilst I was cleaning it (screen not mirror)...

Curse curse why can't they be bolted to the ceiling like the old days curse...

I could use araldite, but I know it's not the best on glass and I suspect there is some "proper" glue or sticky pads. Where would I get some on Sunday and what am I looking for? Some urgency required as I'm driving to the airport on Tuesday...

Loctite is the manufacturer I had in mind.. but the bit of gauze is the key.

I see how that works... Gauze holds filler/bonding agent and allows all gaps to be filled without glue running out (much).

Anyway, I've always found the Loctite mirror adhesive kit, which is a tube of glue and a mesh of catalyst works best for me. I've never had a mirror come unstuck after using it.

My local independant motor factor is closed on sunday- meanwhile, Halford's will be having their busiest day of the week.

Ditto my local hardware shop and B&Q.

Me too, the thing that the majority don't realise is that in terms of £/per hour Sunday is the most productive.

As well as being cheaper than the sheds we do generally offer better service.

We have opened Sunday's and pretty much whenever there is demand since it has been permitted.

Incidentally where abouts are you... We are looking to expand..

Our local car shop is open 7 days 8am-8pm. Much cheaper than halfords and excellent friendly and polite service. I'd never go anywhere else.

Fine if you want to pay over the odds and get served by idiots, yes.

Follow up.

I did get some Loctite 319 from Halfuds and got boned for about 4 quid.

OTOH the mirror is fixed and hasn't fallen off yet so a job done :)
