Transmission rumble

Morning,



I changed the clutch hose on the TR7 over the weekend for a braided one, as the old one was starting to expand when warm. The clutch and gearbox are the regular hydraulic system into the LT77 gearbox.



There's now a rumble coming from the transmission that varies with revs, and is present with clutch in or out. The clutch judders when pulling away - not violently, but noticeable, but it did this prior to changing the hose. Only the rumble is new.



Is it worth me spending £280 on a new clutch? I don't know the condition of the current one...

So if you're saying that there's a rumble when stationary and with the clutch pressed, then it won't be in the transmission because that will be stationary at that time (assuming the clutch is clearing properly and not dragging the transmission round with it).

Is it an engine main bearing rumble maybe?
