Anyone got a Haynes manual for the newer shape Clio's 98 onwards (i.e. not up to 98!)?
Maybe someone has one or knows an online retailer that gets 'em cheaper than the 11.99 (some up to 14.99) I saw locally?
Thanks,
Stu

Try Ebay, but watch out for the postage costs. It's possible to buy a Haynes manual with a £1 bid but then find the seller wants to charge you £5 for the wrapping.
Most charity shops stock a few manuals but these are usually for older cars.
I know what you mean. I was tempted to buy the same manual for the wife's car recently, just to change the front pads (in case there were lurking ABS funnies) - £12.99 was the cheapest I found (and on the net). Just plunged in - there was nothing to it (this time!). I had to use some of the money saved to buy a stupid Girling pent head bolt key though ;-(
Some of us out there will be saying, "phoooey, what's a piddling £13?" but it all mounts up. My suggestion? Try your local lending library - you know, that musty place that no-one with an internet connection goes to anymore. I bet your local branch could locate one on the "circuit" and reserve it for you. Then use someone's photocopier or your desktop scanner/printer combo to abstract the bits you really need!
As an aside: Haynes manuals have this rep for being poorly researched or fuzzy in their detail, but there are times we'd be lost without them. They ain't what they used to be though are they? Poor grade paper stock that literally soaks the oil from dirty fingers, and don't talk to me about the half-baked cover cutaways they use nowadays...cheap cheap cheap.
Cheers, Ken.
I am selling one on ebay
