'94 Turbo eating up Porsches & others

This link was sent to me by a friend. I don't know if it has been posted here or not. It shows what a 1994 turbo miata with 140K miles in the hands of a great driver can do.

The video really shows the advantages a 2000 pound car like the miata has over these relatively heavy GT cars when it come to corners, most of them look like heavy pigs by comparison, plus it has a power to weight ratio of 8:1, so it keeps up and even passes nicely in the straights as well.

The only car that gives him any trouble is a fully raced-out Porsche with a huge wing that probably cost more than the entire miata. It still can't leave him behind.

Don't forget, it's got great music too!

With one of my all-time favorite songs playing in the background, it is truly a great thing.

I am wondering just how many total dollars worth of cars he owned on that track in our inexpensive little Japanese car, though he does have a bit of forced induction to help him along. :-)

250 hp and 2000 pounds of weight. Nah, the miata is only about handling, it is not a fast car at all. "Just get a Mustang if you want a fast car". (very heavy sarcasm)
