Colleague at work (in the UK) has a '91 Mazda Eunos. Out of interest he called the local Mazda dealer and asked about servicing. They tried to tell him MX-5 parts may well not fit and if they didn't they he'd have to stand the cost of them trying to fit the. Also claimed that the ECU was so different that it will not be possible to do eny engine diagnostics. Former sounds like sour grapes to me and the latter sounds like total bollocks. Did Mazda really fit ECUs and/or diagnostic plugs to vehicles sold in different regions that were so different as to be totally incopmatible? He reckons the engine is running rough which was the precise reason for wanting to get it serviced in the first place...
