That section of the Goodyear answer is NOT even about the same question ! To some of us that are old enough to know about biasply type tires do know that you did not MIX the two types of tires ! I don't think you can even buy that type of tire anymore ! If you put radial tires in the front and bias in the back, you would go for the largest spin out you could ever have the first time you made a sharp turn.
I believe the question was about "todays type of tire". Radial tires, not the mix of two very different types of tires.
"Understeer" is when the front tires DO NOT bite and the rear tires DO. ( The car will not turn enough )
"Oversteer" is when the front tires DO bite and the rear tires DO NOT. ( The ass end slides out. )
