A/C operated intermitenly. Had the system charged recently so the problem is not lack of freon. Comes on and off for periods of time and when operating the temp varies from cold to cool. then might die a hot air begins to blow. Wonder if the control is bad. Would appreciate any comments. I am a new subscriber. Thanks.

Is this occurring when the system is set on Auto? Have you tried the A/ C in the manual mode? Sounds like it may be a faulty temp sensor. I think the sensor and fan is located in the ceiling near the dome light but not sure of that on the W124 models. John
