'95 s420 check engine light, is there a way, without fixing the problem to just quickly disconnect? So, I do not have to look at it until it is fixed.

Just pull the cluster, and then pull the bulb. Takes less than 3 minutes with the MB cluster puller tools. Lots of articles on the net about how to do it. If you don't have the tools, you can bend up a set out of a coat hanger in about 1 minute.
