Can anybody give me a hint on why my 88 420 is idling hi (about 15 - 16 on the tach) and the ABS light comes on, I have checked all sorts of connections and have came up with nothing. Tim

Check the fuse on top of the Overvoltage Protection Relay.

Checked the Overvoltage protection relay fuse (10 Amp) on the fire wall beside the brake booster....it was good, I started the car back up it ran at about 9 on the tach (about normal), I turned it off and started it back up and the idle went up and the ABS light came back on....any other ideas????? Tnx, Tim
The OVP relay itself is suspect- it powers those systems.
