Hi,
Can the glow plug system be updated in 1979 300D to the early 80's version where one does not have to wait 40 seconds to start the car? I am assuming that the 80's 300D engines are exactly the same as the '79 one, are they?

Beru makes a retrofit relay kit (w/ 4, not 5 glow plugs) that might suit your request.
