Opinions on Aamco for transmission oil change?

Does anyone have any opinions on Aamco for a tranny oil change? The reason I ask is that the MB dealer is charging $300 for a trasmission oil change versus $129 from my local Aamco shop. Thanks.

***************************************************** Where do you live?????? In So. Calif (Orange County) my local dealer does a transmission fluid change including draining the torque convertor, replacing the filter and gasket for $99.95! (besides that they test drive the car and wash it too!) Stay away from Aamco if you value your MB. Find another place that specializes in MB's only! Besides that MB transmissions (depending on the year) have specific propriety transmission fluids. Ciao!

Both seem to be too high and, you do not need a transmission specialist for that job.. Find a good independent MB garage. When you call them ask them if they drain the torque converter. If they don't, or try and tell you it is unnecessary, call somewhere else.

About $75 at an independent M-B shop. Avoid AAMCO.
