An Mg Is Born

To any interested MG owners:

I have all ten episodes of 'An MG Is Born' series by Mark Evans which showed on the Discover Channel in England. This series take you through a complete MGB restoration and shows some interesting videos of different MG models in each episode.

Contact me at snipped-for-privacy@earthlink.net for details.

An interesting program in its own right but I doubt it would be any help to the normal person doing a restore.

He has a workshop the size of a barn, in fact I think it is a barn!

He has *All* the toys, his own bead blasting booth, a hydraulic lift that would make any garage owner jealous, welding gear and more spanners than a snap-on rep.

Oh and an endless budget seems to help. I once saw some figures somewhere on what was spent on the various projects and the sums of money were staggering.

Entertaining viewing though.

Well, it wasn't an MG :-) but I used to also own a Sptifire 1500. I used to get a lot of my parts from Rimmer. I once did a quick scan of both my Rimmer and Moss catalogs and concluded that you could build a brand new Triumph Spitfire 1500 for somewhere between $30,000 and $50,000. If I ever won the lottery, it would be fun to do it, I do not believe the same parts availability applies to the MG series.
