MG TF heater

May 19, 2006 3 Replies

My wife has an MG TF 2004. Its' cabin heater only produces boiling hot air after 10 minutes of use. Adjusting the heater control from cold to hot has no affect.

I don't believe that this anything to do with the engine/oil temperature as the their guages show normal temperatures.

Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

Simon

check the control valve, on the mgb its a cable controlled valve off of the block. Its probably shot. they fail frequently. but with the F i dont know how its controlled. Of course you could send it to me and Ill drive it hot.

Brian, Hes not sending me the car to drive!
