Please don't do it. You will ruin the appearance and handling of your car. Approved simple upgrade for this spec would be to go to a 5 x 12 with the lower profile tyre. Conversion kits available from all the main Mini specialists at very reasonable prices. Going to 7 x 13 will require major body surgery if you want to be able to steer.

Falken FK-06 is your best bet for everyday use - you want 165/60 though, not 145/70. Take a look at

I dont mean to be rude lol but thats a load of rubbish, I've got 7x

13's on my mini and they improved the handling, but it does not require major body surgery what so ever. just a little trimming away. Can be easily done. What wheels are the Starmags?

I have tried all the wheel size & variants of mini wheel sizes, I fount my self the 13" wheeled genuine sports pack I owned to have heavier steering, a bigger turning circle, less responsive on twisty roads, I recon the best compromise would probably be a 165/60/12 on either a 4.5J or 5J rim,

Steve.

ps whatever your on it must be good ;-)

Thank you Steve. Those whopping great wheels might improve grip, but there is no way than can improve the car's handling.
