Hi everyone Picked up a used 2005 Lancer ES last night for a great price. So far (one day, Ha) we love it. It's a little anemic as far as power but we were looking for good gas mileage. Anyway, thought I'd introduce myself as I'll be watching, and hopefully, contributing to this group now.

I have a 2003 OZ... love it and the engine will go... you just have to rev it a bit and it's great on gas.

Does the OZ have the same engine? And mine seems to be going through gas rapidly. I have an automatic (Wife's request) and when I push it, it gets rather loud and buzzy, but it does seem to scoot along. The other thing everyone has commented on is, the initial touch of the accelerator is very quick. Hard to start smoothly without paying attention to you right foot. Gives the impression the car is quicker than it really is. What mileage have you been getting?
