Just recently, I have noticed that when I have the fuel mode switch on "Economy" I get just about no acceleration at highway speeds (65+ mph). To be more elaborate, it seems as though the pedal goes down to the floor more easily now and the RPM's stay about 2500 or so til I literally have the pedal on the floor and then it shoots up to 4000+ RPM.
Now, when I have the switch on "Power" it seems as though the problem doesnt occur at all... but the consequence is the overwhelming amount of gas being wasted. Anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? I brought the car into the shop and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it, but then again, I dont think they drove it at highway speeds.
