GTO MAF senor

Jan 25, 2006 0 Replies

I have a problem with a GTO N/A 1991 auto (red if it helps!!), I have a K&N filter, if I tap the air filter pipe with a screw driver that leads to the carb while the car is ticking over the RPM drops all but to the point of the engine is cutting out, in fact if I tap loud enough any ware on the car the rpm drops, if I shake the Mass air sensor and associated wiring I get no change in the rpm. The engine diagnostics don't show a problem with the MAF, Could this be a faulty MAF? or do you have any other ideas?
