I'm the former owner of a dsm and would like to get your opinion on the following. I'm not sure if I should raise a stink about this or not.
When I had my dsm ('97 TSI AWD)I purchased 16" steel rims and tires for the winter from the local Bridgestone dealer. Due to an expanding family I had to sell my baby to buy a 4 door (maxima). Before buying the maxima I checked the winter rim size and to my surprise Walmart and Canadian Tire listed the exact same rim for my maxima as my dsm used. I was thrilled, until now...
I just went to put the winter rims on and have found out that they don't have the clearance for the front calipers. The garage looked up the part numbers and confirmed that my dsm and this car should run the exact same rims. Now, would you guys go back to the original shop and raise a stink? They did sell me rims that "fit" however not the "proper / exact" rim for my car.
Just don't know whether this is worth fighting for. It's only a couple of hundred bucks but it does kinda tick me off...
Your input is greatly appreciated.
