Ah, lovely spring weather

It's great so far !

I'm glad I bought the 406 - I can wind it up on the twisty roads round here, A/C keeping me cool, 210 modern horses keeping me in front of dithering old fools (we have PLENTY around here), and a rather nice factory-fit Clarion-headunit-and-CD-changer coupled to JBL-amp-and-ten-speaker system providing the finest late 90s Renaissance mixes (at the moment). I had to fork out £140 for a pair of new rear tyres a couple of weeks back, and the front-pad-wear-indicator came on during the work commute this morning - so much for the new pads that the dealer supposedly fitted :) I guess it's a good excuse to get some Red Stuff Ceramic on there.

wish i could get a set of rears for £140 :)

Well they were the cheapest Z-rated that my local guy does. I was rather pleased with the £69 each - they're Hankook-somethings, if you fancy some :)

ah that's why, i like exspensive s*it, more £100 a tyre type, plus i need a small fat bastard size, 225/55/15 or 225/50/15

Nope, flew down to Kent, had a look at the Cerbera and it was probably the scruffiest example I've seen in a long time. Needed three new wheels, the drivers' seat re-trimming, and a fair bit of work doing - so I swerved it. Not a wise move buying a rough TreVoR. Money for it was right, but it wasn't good enough.

Trip back was interesting though, train from Ramsgate to London, meal in London, then on the tube round to Euston Station to get another train back to Liverpool. Would you believe they don't do return flights from Manston? Jeez.

London *sucks*. Watching the mindless drones all rushing round in rush hour was utterly soul destroying. Utter silence on the tube, not a sign of a smiling face anywhere, spent an hour in Euston station trying to spot a smiling face... not one, then onto the train back to Liverpool. Mobile rang and some snooty git started having a pop at me for my mobile going off in a "quiet zone". I asked him where the noisy one was and all he could say was "They all are, apart from this one", which was utter bollocks. 3 "First class" carriages, a buffet car, then 3 "Quiet zones". So I got pissed in the buffet car chatting to the bloke running it, who lives about 200 yds from me.

Was so nice to see happy people again when I got home.

It's about 4 times what everyone else leaves on the M62. I consider just about enough room to squeeze out a panic fart as you stand on the brakes.

If you dare to leave any more room you get it filled up with other cars. If it is really busy and slow, you occasionally find an Artic using the

3rd lane too, because they can (yes we all know they shouldn't but I'm not going to get in the way and shout "NO" out of my sun roof).
