Bit of a volvo drought round here.

Thought I would look and see what 240/60 and 340/60 models were going for on the trader. Looks like nobody is selling.

240, 2 with tax and ticket, one of those has a BHG
260 none
340 two, 1.4, 1 an auto.
360 none. Bloodyhell, what happened to the cheap, dead old guy's pension chariot?

There's a beautiful 360 in Newcastle-under-Lyme:

"- recently new clutch, steering rack and timing belt.- mot till mid april, tax till 30 march.- slight rust on bottom of drivers side (nothing a little loving can cure) pictures of this will be available once i get a usb cable.- all wheel arces in superb condition. This car is going to be sadly missed. So looking for a home where it will be loved. interiour mint.

The wife is looking for £500 on this car ono. "

I offered the guy a minimal amount of money for it but he wasnt interested. Also offered him some money for the ultra rare auxillary gauge panel but wasnt interested in that either :(

Autotrader is not a good place to look though. Cars are too old. Check adtrader, freeads and the club websites.

That is actually fairly tidy. Might have to consider it. Hmm.Newcastle isn't that far, but I bet even=20 if I droped the price of the Saab to Comedy give away, the volvo would=20 still be gone.

Thinking about sticking the Saab on the free listing weekend on the=20 fleabay, move it on the same way I bought it.

Should bring the price down.

Yeah he wants £500 with that fault though! Which is why its still for sale. More about it here too:

Hmm, well I wouldn't give =A3500 fro an unknown 360 with a fault, no=20 matter how "retro cool" they are becoming.

Hence why it hasnt sold :)

I offered him £150, knew he wouldnt accept, but you never know!

There's a load advertised in West Yorkshire/Manchester, particularlt if you're willing to go up to a 700 series.

Fancy anything quite that big. Noticed a few 700's myself.

Not worth the price of an ad attempting to sell things like that..............you will find most in the free-ads papers, if thats the sort of thing you are looking for!

I had a 360GLT, proper fun little car. Thirsty 'real' volvo fuel injected engine w. a respectable amount of torque driving the back wheels through de-dion rear suspension (gas shockers, shorter springs) and rear mounted gearbox (alfa style). Rest of the range was s**te, no power just bad economy and tippy-toes handling. Managed to make it look quite good too with its alloys/fogs/front & rear spoilers and very '80s 'mk1 GTE' style tailgate graphics. I chose one as it was the fastest hatch that I could afford to insure at the time, group 10 'cos of the safety features. Nice pin stripe interior too in an 80s kind of way

Anyway Carl, hold out for a 142s ;-)

Well, seeing as everyone else seemed to think actually getting something newish was a bad idea, I'm going to need to get something old.

At least till you move somewhere less pikey(tm).

A couple of weeks ago, I got myself a 740 saloon, MOT till October for £92 :)

Got to admit, that would be tempting.

TBH, would prefer a 133GT with a 2.3 turbo transplant and 5 speed box.
