redlancer gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

You seem to be forgetting one small detail.

Where's the steam coming from?

Non-polluting? LPG burners, so still fossil fuel powered.

Less moving parts? 12 boilers, turning 40 litres of water per minute into

400degC steam to power a turbine.

More efficient? Total weight for the single-seat vehicle? Three tons. Length of this single-seat vehicle? 25ft & 6ft wide. Project cost? Estimated at £650k. Target speed? 170mph. Range? 170 litres of (distilled) water carried, and 60 litres of LPG. So, assuming they're not carrying excess fuel, it's using around 15 litres of LPG per minute. At top speed, that's about five litres per mile.

Speed only limited by driver? FFS, you could go out tomorrow and buy a

170mph single-seat vehicle, brand new, less than 7ft long, 2.5ft wide, weighing less than 200kg, for less than £8,000. And it'll use an order of magnitude less fossil fuel than this "green" white elephant.
