Best places to ask about a good used front anti-roll bar for a 94/95 Celica

2.0gt. Friend of mine's son is spoilt and was given the car for his 20th birthday, now he's gone and slid the front end into a curb, folding the front wheel right under. He's managed to locate most parts, or rather, his
*mum* has managed to, but not the arb. Any thoughts....besides "Get him to sort his own mess out!"

cheers

Ken

Personally I'd let him sort his own mess out. I know a kid who is in the same situation who has just now, at 20, gone and bought an Imprezza. He can afford to insure it because his daft parents put it on a fleet policy.

As for the ARB, try these guys:

There's a breaker in Devon I believe, who specialises in Celica parts. If he's interested I can get hold of his address and tele number. Mike.

Just to add to my earlier post. If it is the same as that fitted to the Celica GT4, I can possibly help via the GT4 Owners Club. Mike.

Try Fensport. http;//

They buy in jap front clips to break down for engine boxes on most models.

So they might have one that would otherwise go to scrap. Or they might have an uprated one.

You think he should walk there?

Oh aye for the uprated stuff they are both well known in the toymotor world.

I got a rear engine/transmission mount from these guys, genuine boxed Toyota, shipped from Japn

And about 1/2 of Toyota price ISTR.

Why on earth should that be necessary? He can order by phone and they'll send it by carrier. I would not have suggested them if they were collection only. Mike.

You could start to lose the will to live with some of the asinine comments made in here.

True. Most news-groups seem to contain a core of posters who give sensible answers and/or make usefull comments. Others appear to feel a need to post on any subject, regardless of whether they can make any usefull or even humorous contribution. I suppose up to a point that's why n/g's are so interesting. Mike.

It's also plainly a forgery, since it didn't mention a 200SX at any point or how they're the best cars in the world ever and once carried the doors from St Paul's Cathedral inside.

cheers, clive

Another fascinating nugget of auto history. :-) Mike.

I'll take that information if I may

cheers

Ken

ps: It would at least seem that this lad's paying for the repairs (which is an improvement)

Thanks, will pass these on

cheers

Ken

I'll get te info today and post it here. Mike.

No worries. Always glad to help.

The Co is :- TCB. (Toyota Celica Breakers) Tele No 01579 383879 They specialise in breaking all Celica models. Ask for Trevor, and you can mention Steve Gillies. The guy who gave me the details, and has dealt with them frequently. Accordig to him, their prices are very reasonable, certainly compared to Fensport or Toyota themselves. HTH. Mike.
