I'm getting tempted by the odd bits and bobs of second hand suspension clobber coming up on ebay. Are rebuild kits expensive? Looking at second hand Avos, Konis, Bilsteins and Gaz (coilovers if they're cheap enough), or p'raps just some new Gaz dampers.

Don't think you can rebuild the majority of dampers. I'm told you can with Nivomats, and you could with the old lever type as on an MGB. But most others tend to be welded together.
