You know how you once posted how your cinq wouldn't change to second at silly speeds? Well a Ka will. Not grenaded anything though, noticed straightaway :P.

SWMBO's cinq is reluctant to change down to 2nd unless you slow right down. Inherently weak gearbox so it's a good safety measure to stop you putting too much stress on it by engine braking heavily. Intentional or not. SWMBO only realised the other day after months of complaining that it's hard to change from 3rd to 2nd. I distincly remember telling her that it was her driving style rather than the 'box as I never had trouble doing it - and I tend to blip on downchanges, helping matters.
