Got the saab back today.

Clutch still bites a little low for the first use of the day, then sits normal. So it looks like the master seals are weeping. But the clutch action is lighter and the bite doesn't vary so much as it did.

Cost. Clutch pipe £60something +Vat Tow in £40 Rest in labour and fluid. Total £179.12 inc VAT.

Much better than the £230+VAT that the local Vauxhall/Saab dealer wanted without the tow in charge on top.

Now with 2 days driving, the low bite seems to have gradually disappeared. Got to the height where it used to be once it had warmed up a bit but isn't getting higher. Bite just stays at a regular height and the car is so much more driveable.

Still will be going shortly, but I can enjoy it again until sensible head takes over.

Alison should know whether she keeps her job by the end of the month, then I can plan to taking a swipe at dodgy dealers when they are at their slowest in December, knock them down as low as I possibly can then cast them a crappy trade in to seal the deal.

Local Mitsu dealer is even offering things like free servicing for life on used cars things are so tight.
