Government closing roads to motor vehicles

If it has escaped your attention; the government looks set to close a whole host of public roads to motor vehicles in the near future. The ban-it brigade have decided that motor vehicles should not be allowed on untarred public roads, and that banning them will instantly stop all (illegal) abuse of these roads. Yeah right...

Anyhow - chances are the government will vote to ban motor vehicles as they don't have a huge amount between their ears.

So what if you don't drive 4x4s down unsurfaced roads? Do you ride a trail bike? Do you think that once they've banned cars from unsurfaced public roads they WON'T move on to try ban stage rallying/road rallying and the likes?

There's an online petition below, takes 20 seconds to fill in, urge you to do so for all its worth.

I'd urge you to mow down the next ban-it bobble-hat you see walking down such a road too, but that'd be naughty. ;-)

Thanks for your time,

Marko

There's also a protest drive in London on March 20th. Am trying to make it down there in either a Landie or my own car.

Capital full of slow-moving noisy motors drinking U/L like its going out of fashion might not be the best way to win support for the cause...

It'll be no different from school closing time in most parts of London then.
