This thing is the infamous Landy V8 I built last year [1]. it's most amusing, goes rather bloody well for a Landy an all.

3.5 V8 - around 180 bhp, diseasel gearing. Top end of a noisy 90 mph but acceleration to freak people out in a quality way..

Mechanically it's cool, the body is straight, chassis has seen the attention of a Mig welder here and there, but otherwise it's a funky old barge. Will tow virtually anything - probably up a cliff.

MPG ain't too bad either, between around 16 - 20 mpg in average use, less,

*much* less if being used in four wheel drift boy racey mode.

[1] except now it's got a mildly tweaked 3.5 V8 instead of the mad 4.4 one it had for a while.. [2]The 4.4 is going to 5.2 and will be fitted to "Mad Landy Mk2" with Weber Alpha injection and throttle bodies..

"...the previous owner had used it for towing his caravan "

You should be ashamed of yourself!

I fookin' 'ate pikeys.

Despite all my anti 4x4 shenanigans, I love the Landie and I'd really like one of those. I could never use it as a daily car though and I can't afford a second, toy car that costs twice as much as my main car, the TI which does everything pretty damn well.

Well, it appears to have sold to a German gentleman who seems to have a habit of buying Landie bits in the UK, so this could be amusing....

Checked him out -you did too- and he seems a genuine Land Rover nut case.

Bet he shows up wearing a Land Rover cap, freshly purchased in another Ebay- auction.

Don't mention the war and you should be fine :)
