new motor

It's quite common in import vehicles to find either 5" TVs or 6" navigation screens with reverse camera, of course they are very old Nav units with no UK/European counterpart to convert to, or follow jap standard NTSC tuners, so bloody useless for TV, but cool for Novelty value.

Wouldn't mind one myself.

friend of mine imported a tasty RX7 which had sat nav in the dash, i think it was aftermarket and made by clarion but was fitted so well it looked factory! managed with a bit of fiddling from a jap guy at the import place and got it to display english and the GPS worked with a UK disc he got hold of :)

Nice. The Jap Toyota stuff from the factory is Pioneer made undern a weird Non Jap name. Something like Caravello or somesuch. Pioneer do acknowledge it and can supply frequency expanders etc, but they refuse to accept that it can work outside of Japan at all, they claim the language stuff is hard coded rather than coming from the data discs.

Might be Carazzola or something similar too.

cheers. Not far off then.
