Nitrous Fitted

It's been quite an experience. First test under pressure the nitrous line olive into the pulsoid let go of the pipe - - after 1/2 a friggin' hour!! Pipe was forced out the engine bay through the grommet and into the cockpit, flailed about inside (I mean seriously violent) the like of which I've never seen before and smashed the windscreen, a few minor scuffs and gouges inside the cockpit, a couple of freeze burns, two grazed knees and a bruised pipe lashed leg - I had my head in there as well so it could have been worse (or is that better). All this in about the time it takes to jump up and run to the bottle to turn off the supply. Only thing I can think is that the pipe wasn't all the way through the olive so it was just holding it and very slowly let go? Anyway it's in there now and ready for bigger jets. Not the best start but it is good that I fully appreciate what I've got. Going to have to get a safety solenoid fitted at the bottle end I think.

it may be obvious to everyone else but why was the bottle turned on in the first place? if it was to test for leaks then fair enough

I know Trev loves this nylon pipe, but I personally would fit braided stuff... Bit late now I know... With SMALL doses it performs a touch worse. But its safer and completely secure.

How else can I test it. :o)) (don't forget it was ok for at least half an hour)

I'm considering brake hose in the next car I have with it (hopefully a skyline). For now I just want an electrical valve or solenoid at the bottle end - the arm switch is a three way affair so i could have it one click open bottle (effectively) and two click arm system. What do you think would be suitable? Trev's on holiday at the moment but I spoke to anthony and he said the type of thing i'm after is going to be 200 quid. I think thats ridiculous.
