A mate has just got a job at John Lennon Airport. He's a southern fairy of the highest order. Got any tips on where he hould live? He's looking at house-share graduate type areas (if Liverpool has a Didsbury type area that'd be cool).

Umm, well Warrington is quite close to JL airport, and believe it or not, there are actually some alright parts to the town.

Aigburth, there are loads of flats / student type hovels around there, quite cheap as well.
Not such a bad area, and you can get a decentish flat there for £65 a week.
Conkers idea of Warrington isn't bad, but Aigburth is only 5-10 mins by car to the airport. Warrington can take a *lot* longer depending on the time of day and if you go through Runcorn, you're knackered when they do their weekly bridge c*ck ups.
Another idea might be Widnes.
