Just received this in my inbox. It doesn't even try to tell you what the hook is. And I see they've shifted from Nigeria to Hong Kong.

I don't know how people fall for these...

Good Day,

My name is Mr. Song Lile, i am the credit officer in Hang Seng Bank, Hong Kong. I have a business proposal in the tune of $19.5m, after the successful transfer, we shall share in ratio of 30% for you and 70% for me. Should you be interested, please contact me through my private email( snipped-for-privacy@yahoo.com.hk), so we can commence all arrangements and I will give you more information on how we would handle this project.

Please treat this business with utmost confidentiality and send me the following:

(1)Full names (2)private phone number (3)current residential address (4)Occupation (5)Age and Proffession.

Kind Regards, Mr. Song Lile

30%, 70% seems reasonable to me. Mike.

Because by definition 50 percent of the people on this planet are below avarage IQ. Worse still they send millions out so that means that there are literally thousands of recipients that have an IQ of way less than room temperature.

Of those thousands only a handful need to be convinced.

I have yet to see one attempt with even half decent grammar or spelling or punctuation yet although they are improving...

By the way, yesterday I won the Dutch Lottery! Without even entering! How good is that???

There's always the scambaiting of course. They come up with gems such as

and

etc.

When you see these pics and stuff though, you really have to assume the scammers aren't exactly over endowed with brains either.

I had a semi convincing email from revenue and customs telling me about=20 my tax rebate of =A3250. All I had to do was fax a form back with my details and a credit card=20 for them to refund to, if I didn't have a credit card I could nominate=20 someone elses (it also wanted the start/exp dates and the CVV number).

I always liked the holy cow stories.

I don't understand why people are so stupid to keep posting this type of message to newsgroups, often unrelated with the group title. Learn to ignore such messages, and don't keep posting them out for all to see.

Can I see some identification and a warrant. Usenet police are generally not welcome here.

Sage advice, although puzzling given that it's coming from the repetitive Off-Topic formerly of Tiscali, mighty morphin mong ranger.

Your mum is still sucking my c*ck. She's crap at head, which amazes me seen as she's been a professional, and worked pro-bono for you and the 23 different guys who could be your dad for the past 20 years.

Maybe she's just nervy not keeping it in the family.
