no
In article , "\(\) |V| 3 G A" spouted forth into uk.rec.cars.modifications...
If you replace your injector with a bigger one (higher flow), and remap your ecu to suit the higher flow, the Power Boost valve will stop things leaning out, but not on astandard engine.
Do they "work" ?
A Power Boost Valve simply increases your fuel pressure. It will only "work" if you need it to ! If your car is highly tuned, and running lean, then a Power Boost Valve can help.
They can give a non linear increase according to vacuum, so can richen the mixture under acceleration but not have much effect at cruise.
They improve the early Rover V-8 EFIs which have a tendency to run lean. But I'd not expect them to work well on a more modern system.
