I'll try the roof idea !
I think I found the problem out last night - I've been moving the snooper around a bit between cars, but for the last 48hrs is has been in my car, connected to power the whole time and it appears to have charged the GPS receiver and reception is a lot better ! (Antenna is on the back parcel shelf RLD in the window, but either I haven't found any radar yet, or the heated screen and UV protection is filtering it all out.)

I used to have an s6, well it was my 2nd one. Halfords swapped it for me as
