Wheels for the Golf

15" BBS RA at £170 quid or so with Falken tyres, or 15" G60 Steels at £125 quid and needing tyres?

Steels work out dearer, assuming the Falken tyres actually grip enough for me to be able to bear driving with them on, but are less nickable than the RAs...

Couple of the RAs look like they want refurbing. What's the going rate?

IME Falkens aren't actually bad as far as budget tyres go - they grip pretty well.

I think the gold MR2 had Falkens when I got it from Mr Vamp. Did a good job. Could be different for a front engine FWD car though!

Hmmm only experienced them once, ended up with three toyos and a falken, the falken used to smoke like crazy while the toyo stayed welded to the tarmac...

06 etc.

But it doesn't come cheap. :-(

Used to run falkens on my modded mini - they gripped pretty well on that. On 12" wheels tho...
