'06 Stangs

I see the '06s will come in Standard-Deluxe-Premium trim for both 6 and

  1. do I smell a price increase? "prices start at about the same price as last year".....yeah, a stripper costs just a little more than a loaded one did last year........betcha

This is a reversion. The 1980s Mustangs could be bought stripped to the bone, with plenty of options. Buy 1999, nearly everything was included.

right you are, Ralph.

still haven't ordered mine......I visited nearest dealer today and see he still has 6 converts (1 GT) that have been there for 3 months.....but he's still playing games: fitted the '05 6s with GT grills and added a sticker for "custom Pony package". and he's still trying to charge $3800 extra for aftermarket wheels & tires (and probably selling the OEM wheels & tires, for plenty) what a load.....and they're spending millions on consultants in Detroit trying to figure out why people buy foreign.

anyway......will wait 'till after Christmas, see if there's an honest Ford dealer anywhere around and if not, it'll be Bimmer time.

btw......has anyone seen a blue Mustang? the local turds get lime, yellow & white.....have yet to see an '05 or '06 with anything but the charcoal interior.....and that's a depressing pit.

Yep, I noticed that the V-6 Pony package was priced about $26k, nearly what a GT Deluxe goes for. My dealer near Charlotte NC sells GT's for MSRP, and has about a dozen 06's(coupes and verts) in stock. Didn't see any blue GT's, but did see some tan interiors.

Yet I just read that the prices have actually been reduced on some models....
