Hello, I have a 2001 V6 5 speed with 32,000 miles on it.
Upon coming to a stop I usually shift down to apply both engine and foot break. Recently the engine acts as if it will stall out. Mind you, I only again started using the car, it was in storage for winter. ;-) Anyway, the RPM drops past its normal idle point but before stalling out it goes back to normal idle. Before taking it to the dealer I would like to know if anyone else has had this issue and maybe some possible resolutions to this issue. Like I wrote, the car has only 32k on it but since it's past the warranty period I don't want to race to my dealer and get clobbered with some ridiculous bill for something that I could do.
