Ummm... probably the same pap coming down the tubes now..... the more specialized the vehicle, the less profit their will be from specialized tooling. This is a Big Mac world but everyone that wants a gourmet burger wants it for the Big Mac price....

An LS2 powered Mustang does sound interesting. However, I wouldn't even bother to mess with an H2. Can't believe people buy em in the first place. I have been told I am not allowed to use a broadsword to disprove ?The Pen is Mightier than the sword?.
Yeah, that's exactly what I'd do, is put the Gen III (LS1, LS6, Vortec
6.0) in the upcoming '05 Mustang. Let's face it, there's no replacement for displacement. I mean, all the hoopla over the current SVT Cobra finally matching the run of the mill LS1 Cambirds that have been out since '99, and it takes a blower to do it. Big deal. The current Hot Rod has a story about Gen III Cambirds running 9's and
10's with very little mods. One is an '01 Camaro doing 10.93 @ 124.96 with only headers, mufflers, a throttle body, K&N, and a 232/249 @ .050, .595/.609, 112 LDA hyraulic cam.
One other thing, I'd lose the inboard headlights from the GT, and make the Hallibrand style wheels from the V6 available on the GT in an
As good as the LS1, LS2 and LS6 are, and they are GOOD, seems (from what I've read) the new Hemi is even better. And if you want cubes, I hear the Hemi has room to grow to about 400 cubes.
ALL things being equal you're right.
to do it. Big deal.
Yes, LS1s Cambirds run very close to the current Cobra's numbers.
I'll have to read about this one. Damn mailman still has my newest issue.
However, I do know the new Cobra's can also run 11's with very little done to them, and dip into the 9's with those same mods and a blower change.
I am surprised that no one seems to like those inboard headlights. Personally, I like the inboard headlights much better than the fog lights on all the late-model GTs and Cobras.
