Means
Clean the MAF and/or look for the vacuum leak
2nd step; replace O2 sensor(s). How many miles are on the car ?
Okay... here's a thought. JUST replace the sensor and see what happens... 99% probability: same thing.
While replacing the sensors at that mileage is probably a good idea, I have yet to replace one for reading 'lean' and I've taken 4 cars over the
185,000 mark with no perceivable drop in fuel economy and no CEL due to 'lean'When a sensor gets old, it reacts slower... that's all. And its age is more to do with the fuel you're giving it and the amount of oil burned.
Well, I've seen sensors that last forever and I've seen sensors that broke at 60K miles.
