Depends on what size exhaust piping your car currently has. Stock was, I'm guessing, probably 2 1/4". But someone over the years might have upgraded the exhaust system and went with 2 1/2", or larger. Take it to muffler shop, have them size it up for you.

3" is overkill.
2.5" duals would be perfect.
