GT-Vert-03...............

I've put about 200 miles on it since the new gears & all I can say is I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! 1st tops out pretty quick, but it's worth it for the difference is take off. Still getting the feel for it find myself checking the tach (omg 2nd already LOL) . I haven't had the speedo calibrated yet, but so far I'm seeing the difference is on the "safe" side. Drove passed 1 of those "your speed is ....." electronic sign this morning, sign flashed 57 speedo was reading about 65. New pipe will be here this weekend along with the wheels, geeze 1 of these days I'll get that speedo to read right. Kelly

373 gears being installed today

Who did the gear swap and where are they located? After you put a few hundred miles on the car, please report back on how you like the new gears, and if you had any problems. Do you have any other mods on your car? Thanks.

Why sorry? I was just curious. I have a 98 Mustang GT that I'm putting 3.73 gears in very soon. I'm glad you really like yours... I'm sure I'll have a blast too =). Next year at the latest I plan on getting a 98 Cobra. Do you have any other mods on your car?

Hi Kelly.. Those 3:73's are great arent they! Like having a whole new car to say the least.

You REALLY need to get that speedo gear put in ASAP. The reason is that it will rack up the miles on the odometer significantly higher than actual miles driven. IE: You were driving 57 mph, and your speedometer said you were travelling

  1. That's an additional 8 miles at that speed that your odometer will register. Higher mileage equals greater depreciation. I know some math wiz will get in this and give you the actual numbers and make me look as blonde as I am.. but you get my drift. The speedo gear is like or less at the dealership and whoever installed the gears for you should be able to slap it in. Hopefully at no additional charge or a minimal fee.
