I'm in the middle of a ground-up restoration on a 67 Coupe/289. Will be putting an Edelbrock carb/intake/cam package in the engine and will be porting, balancing & blueprinting.
My knowledge of auto mechanics is old school. The last set of headers I purchased were Mickey Thompson Avengers in about 1970. Obviously, the technology has evolved so that are now long tube, short tube and Tri-Y headers.
What's the difference between these styles and are there advantages to one over the other? In other words....why would I want to use "shorty" headers instead of long tube?
Thanks in advance to the list
