How much in USA costs 1966 Mustang 289 used block (stock bore or .030 oversize)? I'm rebuilding engine to factory specs and I'm looking for correct block. How rare that kind of block is? Is there any change me to find one. Thanks for reply's.

Ther are 3 flavors of the 289 for 1966/1967/1968... (1)2bbl, (2)4bbl, (3)4bblHO w/solid lifters. For complete engines:
(1) will set you back $300(rebuildable) to $1000 (remanufactured/rebuilt).
(2) will set you back $800(rebuildable) to $1400(remanufactured/rebuilt).
(3) will set you back $1400 to $1900(remanufactured/rebuilt).
Just the block will run 150.00 & up, for the hydraulic version, double for the HO/mechanical version(harder to find).
